Hi, My name is Susan Davies. This will be my fourth year teaching at Ludlow.  I am very excited to say that I will be teaching 2nd grade for the coming 2018-2019 school year.  I will also be serving as the reading interventionist for 1st and 2nd grade.   My teaching background is rather extensive.  Prior to coming to Ludlow, I worked as an Intervention Specialist in Boone County. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky and my Master's degree from Northern Kentucky University.  I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. Most recently I received a second certification to work with students using the Orton Gillingham multi-sensory appraoch to reading instruction.

I am married with three children.  My oldest son, John is a disc jockey on B105.  If you enjoy country music, listen for him on the graveyard shift.  My eldest daughter is a recent graduate from the University of Louisville.  She has decided to stay in Louisville and is working as a nurse.  My youngest daughter reently graduated from the University of Kentucky.  She was a member of the Women's Swim team and recently competed in the Olympic Trials.  She has decided to continue her studies at the University of Kentucky and began working on her Masters in social work this summer. We are a house divided. My husband is a British Citizen.  We travel to England once ayear to visit his mother and other family members.  I look forward to getting to know the families at Ludlow.  Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
