Behavior System and Overview

Behavior Chart

We are using a new behavior system this year! Students now have the opportunity to move up the behavior chart! Every child begins their day on Green. If a student is given too many warnings to stop a behavior they will be asked to clip down to Yellow. ("Need S'more Effort"). If the behaviors continue they may be asked to clip further down to Orange, ("Check your Compass") or even Red ("Don't be a Stinker") depending on the behavior.  This will result in some loss of recess time and a note sent home. However, if your child is going above and beyond the expectations they will have an opportunity to move up the chart as well! If they move up once to Blue ("Glowing Good Work") they will receive a piece of candy from our treat jar.  If they make it to Purple ("On the Right Trail") they also receive a Panther Buck.  If they are moved all the way to Pink ("Camp Champ") they will receive extra computer/IPAD time in the classroom.  This system gives students the opportunity to make their day better and that's what we love about it!
