5th Grade News- January 5-16

Welcome back! I hope everyone is rested and ready to work hard in the upcoming weeks. In Social Studies we will be reviewing the importance of colonization and beginning the fight to establish an independent nation. We will begin taking daily flashbacks that will help students review what they have learned so far throughout the year. I am looking forward to the upcoming content, as I feel the students will enjoy learning it as well.

In Writing we will be reviewing how to break-down On-Demand prompts, which is also a review that Mrs. Record has covered. We will then begin working on Language Mechanics to help with our writing fluency.

Beginning January 12th we will have a new face in our classroom, Ms. Homan. She is a student teacher from Northern Kentucky University, who will make a great addition to the 5th grade!
