My name is Beth Bain and I am currently in my third year as the Speech-Language Pathologist for the Ludlow Independent School District.  I have been married for 11 years to my husband, John, and I have three amazing children, Gavin, Anna and Emma.  I was born and raised in the wonderful city of Ludlow and I am so excited to be back home and assisting with educating the next generation of Panthers.  I received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Kentucky in 2000 and a Master's of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati in 2002.  I have been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist for 14 years and this is my 11th year working with school-age students in the Kentucky School System.  Previously, I worked in a hospital setting providing both inpatient and outpatient services to individuals of all ages.

As the Speech-Language Pathologist, I am responsible for working with students grade Preschool through 12th grade who qualify for specially designed instruction as a student with a Speech or Language Impairment.  Areas that may be addressed include speech sound production and use, receptive, expressive and/or social langauge skills, fluency (stuttering) and voice.  I also assist with hearing concerns and completing hearing screenings.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's speech and language development please email me at elizabeth.bain@ludlow.kyschools.us or by phone at (859) 261-2100 ext: 5104.
