Mrs. High lived in Coldspring, TX where she attended the Coldspring-Oakhurst ISD from kindergarten until her Senior Graduation. After High School Graduation, Mrs. High attended Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, where she majored in Chemistry and Environmental Science. After graduation in 2003 from TAMU-CC, Mrs. High married and moved with her husband to reside in Northern Kentucky.
In the fall of 2003 Mrs. High enrolled at the University of Cincinnati to obtain a Master in Science with emphasis in Environmental Science. Two and half years later Mrs. High completed her thesis, “Assessing the Human Health Risks and the Environmental Impact from CCA-contaminated Mulch,” and started working for Environmental Resources Management (ERM) as an Environmental Consultant.
After working one-year with ERM, Mrs. High decided to leave ERM and the consulting business to pursue her passion of teaching and working with others. From August 2007 to May 2009, Mrs. High pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching at Thomas More College while teaching simultaneously as a Science Teacher at Saint Henry District High School in Erlanger, KY. During the 2008-2009 school year, she completed KTIP thus becoming a certified Chemistry Teacher within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
In June of 2009, Mrs. High signed on as a member of Ludlow High School teaching Chemistry and Physics. During the Spring of 2010, Mrs High acquired her Biology Certification. Currently Mrs. High teaches Chemistry, Environmental Science, and ACT Rotation, she is a Co-Sponsor of LHS National Honor Society. Mrs. High is looking forward to another great year at Ludlow High School.
