Principal's Message

What a change the summer has made for our school and our school district!  As students begin to return to school they will notice a complete renovation of the football stadium, a renovation of the middle/high school building, cosmetic upgrades to the elementary building, and a new preschool playground  We are continuing to work to improve our facilities for our students to create a great school experience for our children.

Beginning with the first day of school, we will be offering morning programs before school each day AND programs after school each day for our students.  This is serviced through our 21st Century Grant that we were awarded this past spring and will continue with for the next 4 years.  Working with the state of Kentucky we are now able to offer ALL students free breakfast and lunch, along with an after school snack. Students will still be able to buy extras, but the cost of the lunch will be free to everyone.

We have also expanded to our Kindergarten program an extra hour each day to maximize our instruction time.  Along with the extension of our Kindergarten program, we have worked with Childrens Inc to make the other half day of the Kindergarten program affordable to all of our parents.  Our Kindergarteners will now be able to stay all day at little, to no charge to the parents.

As you can see, a lot of things our going on here at the school and we are proud to provide more and more opportunites for our students.  Remember Pantherfest is on Tuesday, August 19th and school starts Thursday, August 21st.  Please make sure that stop in to pay your students fees.  Students fees are $40 a year and are crucial in continuing to provide materials for our students.
