Hi, My name is Susan Davies. This will be my fifth year teaching at Ludlow. I am very excited to say that I will once again be serving as the Reading and Written Expression Interventionist for the coming 2020-2021 school year. I will also be working with Special Education Students at the primary level. My teaching background is rather extensive. Prior to coming to Ludlow, I worked as an Intervention Specialist in Boone County. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky and my Master's degree from Northern Kentucky University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. Most recently I received a second certification to work with students using the Orton Gillingham multi-sensory approach to reading instruction. I will be studying to receive my Advanced Certification in Reading/Written Expression this year.
I am married with three children. My oldest son, John is a disc jockey and works on a morning show in Illinois. My eldest daughter is a graduate from the University of Louisville. She has decided to stay in Louisville and is working as an ICU nurse. My youngest daughter recently graduated from the University of Kentucky. She was a member of the Women's Swim team and recently competed in the Olympic Trials. She completed her Masters in social work and works at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital in Lexington. My husband is a British Citizen. We travel to England once a year to visit his family members. I am looking forward to another great year at Ludlow. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
During Virtual Instruction, I will be providing individualized instruction through my Google Classroom. Students can access our meetings through Google Meet which is posted in my classroom. The code to join my Google Classroom is mgezbem. I have posted a variety of useful resources on my classwork page for the students to use. If you need my support with your child at home please feel free to email me at any time.
