Hi!  My name is Kristy Richmond and this is my 21st year teaching.  My passion is teaching reading.  I have spent 19 years of my career in first grade.  The other 2 years I spent as a Reading Recovery Teacher.  I was trained and certified through the University of Kentucky in 2010.  My experience with Reading Recovery provided me with a richer knowledge of how to teach reading, especially targeting struggling readers.  I enrolled in Georgetown University this year (fall 2021) to pursue a Rank 1 to become a Literacy Specialist!  I guess one might say I'm obsessed with teaching reading.

Our Mission
The Ludlow Independent School District is committed to fostering a culture
of rigor, excellence, and personal accountability by developing meaningful relationships with students, families, and community members to support and empower students to graduate with college and career readiness skills.

"In an effort to ensure the safety of our students and faculty, please report any threats to our students or school by clicking the S.T.O.P icon. This will direct you to Homeland Security's National Hotline. Be advised. False accusations and false threats are a very serious offense."
